Google Nest WiFi router support
Network Weather works with Google Nest WiFi and Google WiFi routers. Integration level: Basic.
What you'll see
Google's routers are surprisingly open with information — no login needed or available. Network Weather automatically shows you:
- Router model (Nest WiFi Router, Google WiFi, Nest WiFi Pro, and others)
- Firmware version
- Internet connection status
- How long your router has been running
- Whether a node is the main router or a mesh point
- Your external IP address and basic traffic data
That's a lot of useful info with zero setup.
What problems can be detected
- Whether your internet connection has dropped
- How long it's been since your router was restarted (a restart can fix some issues)
- Basic traffic patterns on your network
Tested on
- Nest WiFi Router (2019, H2D)
Good to know
- No login option. Google doesn't provide a way for apps like Network Weather to access deeper data such as per-device WiFi signal strength or individual device details. What you see automatically is everything that's available.
- Traffic totals show packet counts, not data amounts. Like Eero, Google's routers don't report reliable byte-level traffic data, so Network Weather uses packet counts instead.
