Version 1.1.4 (61)
TP-Link Integration, Enterprise Gateway Detection & VPN Overhaul
Enterprise & Consumer Router Support
This release adds comprehensive gateway detection for both home and enterprise networks. TP-Link routers (Archer, Deco mesh) get full API integration, while Cisco equipment is detected via certificates and HTTP patterns. Virtual gateway protocols (VRRP, HSRP, GLBP) are automatically identified with their redundancy group shown in details.
Highlights
- TP-Link Router Integration: Full support for Archer series and Deco mesh routers with encrypted API, WiFi client metrics, and WAN monitoring
- Enterprise Gateway Detection: Cisco equipment detected via SSL certificates, HTTP patterns, and MAC OUI (Catalyst switches, ISR routers)
- Virtual Gateway (HA) Detection: Automatically detects VRRP, HSRP, and GLBP redundancy protocols from virtual MAC addresses
- UPnP WAN Telemetry: Discovers external IP, WAN uptime, and connection status from any UPnP-compliant router (no login required)
- VPN Mode Overhaul: Shows your physical ISP (not the VPN's), correct segment attribution, and eliminates false packet loss on VPN startup
- Instant Startup: All topology segments populate within 1-2 seconds instead of waiting 15-20 seconds
New Features
- TP-Link router detection via MAC OUI, hostname, UPnP, and HTTP fingerprinting
- TP-Link session token persistence in Keychain for seamless app restarts
- Auto re-authentication when TP-Link session expires
- Vendor-aware credential UI: TP-Link shows password-only form
- "Update Credentials" flow for changing stored gateway passwords
- Cisco detection via SSL certificates and HTTP patterns
- VRRP/HSRP/GLBP detection from virtual MAC addresses with VRID/group display
- Probes nearby IPs to discover physical router behind virtual gateway IP
- UPnP IGD discovery for WAN info displayed in Gateway segment details
- Consumer-friendly ISP names (e.g., "Lumen" instead of "AS3356 Level 3 Parent, LLC")
Improvements
- Parallel Startup: HTTP IP fetch, gateway detection, and destination ping run concurrently
- Faster Services: Destination latency and loss appear immediately without waiting for traceroute
- Faster Gateway: Vendor and model shown within 1-2 seconds
- Cleaner ISP Names: Strips "AS####" prefix and country code suffix
- AS Info Tooltip: Hop badges in Technical Details view show AS info on hover
- Gateway integration auto-initializes for both UniFi and TP-Link on startup
Bug Fixes
- Fixed VPN mode showing VPN provider's ISP instead of user's physical ISP
- Fixed VPN first hop incorrectly attributed to Gateway/LAN segment
- Fixed false 50% packet loss display during VPN connection startup
- Fixed captive portal warning appearing when portal already completed
- Fixed TP-Link gateway detection returning incorrect status
- Fixed "Login to Gateway" shown on restart when already logged in
- Fixed "Update Credentials" dialog auto-dismissing before user could update
- Fixed Link segment briefly showing "Ethernet" on startup when actually on WiFi
